This hog (we don’t know if it’s male or female) was drinking from a bowl of water put out in front of our camera trap, in a garden in Eridge in the dry weather of August.
We were so glad to hear the garden’s owners had seen hedgehogs because although we’ve been looking, putting out food to tempt them, houses for shelter and tunnels to pick up their footprints we’d seen no sign of any in and around the village this summer.
We would really love to know if anyone has seen a hedgehog, or signs of them. What should you look out for? There’s a map too where you can see where people have seen hedgehogs and can add your own sightings.
