Great British Flower Hunt

Groombridge is about to burst into flower – wood anemones are shining in the forests, celandines are sunning themselves on every verge, and the bluebells are about to open.

Do you want to know more about the wildflowers around us? Here’s a great way to learn. The lovely people at Plantlife have just launched their 2021 wildflower hunt. They send you regular spotters guides so you know what’s in flower through the spring and summer.

Here’s where to sign up: https://www.plantlife.org.uk/wildflowerhunt/

Don’t forget to add your observations to our Wild Groombridge iNaturalist project – we’re building a picture of all the plants in the village so we’re looking forward to seeing lots of photos from all over Groombridge. The more the merrier!
